AIRPOWER X1
The teams are well trained, have the
latest technology at their disposal, and reach the hotspots they are
responsible for within a short time. And the success or failure of units
can depend on their foot gear. If the foot gear cannot stand up to the
required performance, danger isn’t far behind. Falls, injuries,
distractions or life-threatening situations can be the result. The boot
was specifically designed to coordinate with the movements of
firefighters and rescue workers, and incorporates the maximum value of
comfort and stability when rotating between kneeling and standing. The
AIRPOWER X1 enjoys special popularity as a "station boot" among fire
personnel.
The
instep and heel bend provides protectionfrom abrasive rubbing and
unpleasant pressure points, and the puncture-resistant soles, as well as
a metal toe, prevent injuries. Theingenious fastening system
facilitates a tailored fit to eachindividual’s foot. Once laced, one
zip, and the boot, with its 8-inchleg, "fits like a glove". Quick
donning and good support guaranteequick readiness response and
dependability during a mission.
TheHAIX
climate system serves to better regulate moisture of the
shoe'sinterior. The thermopolyurethane tread is slip-resistant, oil and
gas durable, non-chalking and antistatic. The highly active-breathing
yetwatertight, microporous CROSSTECH® membrane from GORE-TEX aids in the
continuous regulation of climatic comfort and is bacteria resistant in
accordance with NFPA 1999. The sleek leather is low maintenance and
permanently waterproofed through a hydrophobic process, making it
absolutely watertight.
The
patented arch support system is part of the Airpower philosophy.
Referred to as the AS system, it serves asa joint-protecting shock
absorber. This system, which is securely
integrated into the shoe, optimizes the anatomic design and
providesneeded support to all body parts while running and walking. A
new kindof last guarantees more movement room for toes and the ball of
the foot due to a wider forefoot which, in turn, prevents tiring and
cramping of the feet. The narrower heel and joint areas provide better
support and stability. As a further means of protection, a wide
anatomically-designed and cushioned steel toe, as well as puncture
protection, are built in.
