Luminox watches utilize a special type of self-powered illumination system called Luminox Light Technology (LLT). The technology callsfor the use of tiny self-powered micro gas light capsules. Unlike conventional illumination technology, these micro gas lights do not need to be charged and typically glows longer and brighter.
