Beware of Counterfeits
Since starting the manufacturing of high quality
knives in 1869, our trademark has earned a strong position in the world
market. Unfortunately, more and more counterfeits, mainly produced in
Asia, are sold for unbelievably low prices on the internet. The
materials used for these counterfeits are just as poor as the
manufacturing itself. Apart from copies of actual Boker designs, even
knives that have never been part of our product line are being sold with
our logo. Due to the low product quality, it is very dangerous to use
these knives as product defects may lead to serious injuries. Usually,
the manufacturer is unknown, so it's next to impossible to solicit any
How can you protect yourself against such fakes?
Looking at the examples on this page, you'll see
that it's quite hard to distinguish between original and counterfeit at
first sight. If possible, buy your knives only from reputable dealers.
Take the knife into your own hands for inspection. Poor craftsmanship and
low quality materials are usually revealed immediately.
